Attached below is an article that appeared in the Irish Times celebrating the 120th anniversary of the first All-Ireland hurling final which involved Thurles Sarsfields.

Attached is an article on the history of the Cork Churches Tournament which appeared in this years Cork Holly Bough. Thurles Sarsfields were a regular participant in this highly successful tournament. Thanks to the author Plunkett Carter for use of the article.

Five time All Ireland winner and former Sarsfields great Tony Wall wrote, for what was many, a seminal book on hurling in 1965 simply entitled "Hurling".
